Insecurities Become Opportunities
In the world of business, many of us are familiar with a traditional, status quo, especially that of working at an office. Many aspire to the passive in office lifestyle. This situation provides some happiness and security when hunkering down in one office with colleagues each day. My work lifestyle is a bit different. In fact, before society's life situation trends shifted, I thought I eventually had to compromise to the commuting office routine as an Entrepreneur. In turn, I felt insecure about my current remote work from home situation. My perspective was too narrow within the looking glass of workspaces. One day, this mindset changed to making insecurities become opportunities.
Being an Entrepreneur provides freedom in the work location. I can work in any place, in any city and remain a fully functioning business. The geographic location I choose does not impact my capacity to work with clients and have a team assisting me. This lifestyle allows me to travel to clients and work from home each day. I enjoy working from home since the discipline puts me in the zone of the creative workflow. My mind is attuned to working remotely so much that I feel confident in executing from wherever life brings me. Sounds or conversations around me mute as the intention goes from blur to perfect focus.
Though I feel joy with my lifestyle, I once thought one of the ultimate forms of success was working in that office and even better owning that office. Trends are turning to favor working remotely from home in many industries. Individuals choose Entrepreneurship to have flexibility in schedule and travel. Working wherever breaks up the monotony of the day. It brings a zest for life of spontaneity and joy to venture out and about. Even if you work in an office, your style of career can take you out of regularity and on the road or an airplane.
Today, we have agility in creating the life we want. Whether you enjoy the camaraderie of the company office or the adventurous nature of work travel, the choice is yours. I certainly am learning to embrace my lifestyle and expand beyond the bounds of insecurity to freedom in the lifestyle I choose.
