How to Use Instagram Stories

Here is how to navigate the to Instagram Stories feature:

• Click the blue color plus button on your home screen’s top-left side or swipe left in your feed to launch stories.

• Tap the circle button to take photos or tap and hold to record video. You can also choose a live event or a Boomerang or put the app in a hands-free mode.

• Edit the photos or videos with text or emojis.

• Tap add your story button to share your story.

To share multiple slides within a story, select each slide by order and have all go live at the same time.

You have a variety of pictures and video formats to enjoy using this feature. To select a different recording format, you can swipe the options near the screen’s bottom when opening the camera.

Boomerangs

Boomerangs are fun, short videos and to start this, swipe right from your feed and it will take you to the camera of story. Under the record button, you will find Boomerang mode and then tap it to shoot a short burst of photos.

Hands-free

The Hands-free option allows you to record a video without well hands. Tap and hold the Hands-free option; then, a timer starts to count down to when the video begins.

Filters, Stickers, And Text

After taking photos or videos, change the color and contrast of your Instagram snaps and clips by swiping left or right through various filters to make the visuals unique. Add text, stickers and emojis to make your stories stand out. Instagram has a powerful sticker tool that allows you to paste icons to photos. From location to the full collection of emojis, there are many categories to select.
