It’s imperative to keep social media’s roots at the forefront of your mind when utilizing the platforms for your business. At it’s very beginning, social media was a simple, convenient and fun way to connect with friends and family. Not long after it also became a communication network and eventually a platform for businesses to freely advertise. But just because businesses now have a space on social media does not mean we should use it the same as we do other mediums such as newspapers, radio or television commercials. At Francesca Ragucci Marketing we recognize that social media is meant to be social first and we focus on providing personalized, human experiences in order to connect, engage and eventually build trusting relationships with your target audience.
How do we keep the social in social media while also marketing your business? We humanize your brand and encourage authentic communication. We use less corporate jargon and implore a more conversational tone in order to create and build relationships. Social Media users don’t go on the platform to be sold products and services, they go on to connect with others, get informed, and be entertained. When they scroll through a social media feed and passively read content and don’t interact, they don’t feel good about it. So instead of only focusing on promotional posts we create content that informs, entertains, educates and allows us to form a bond without pressure. This eventually turns “likes” and “comments” into clients and customers.
Businesses that focus on building their social media and engagement benefit from better marketing reach, brand awareness, and ROI. Engagement increases loyalty and generates word of mouth like no other marketing platform can. When you prioritize social media, you find that you have more control of how your business is portrayed and you have more avenues to connect with clients than you ever have before. When you use more traditional forms of marketing such as print ads or radio commercials, you don’t have the opportunity to immediately engage with someone who is reading or listening. With social media marketing, you have the unique capability to be able to react, connect and form a bond with your target clients at any time.
When you humanize your brand, you are more approachable. When you maintain a consistent, authentic voice and tone, you create trust. When you prioritize engagement, you increase loyalty. Your social media voice goes deeper than any statistic you can track or design elements you can tweak. At Francesca Ragucci Marketing, we combine the basic rules of social interaction with a stellar marketing strategy in order to take advantage of these unique platforms and successfully market your business. Remember, social media is meant to be social first, so focus on the dialogue as opposed to the monologue.
